DIANMING Tech Cheers for Historic Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Opening

On June 30, 2024, the highly anticipated Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link finally opened to traffic. Leaders from Shenzhen and Zhongshan, along with representatives from participating construction enterprises and companies, attended the opening ceremony. Shenzhen Dianming Tech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "DIANMING"), as a key supplier of electromechanical subprojects for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, participated in the ceremony and warmly congratulated the successful opening of the link.
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is a critical infrastructure project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After seven years of rigorous construction, it officially opened today, spanning approximately 24 kilometers. This project integrates "bridge, island, tunnel, and underwater interchange" into one infrastructure cluster. The cross-sea section alone is about 22.4 kilometers long. The route starts in the east from the airport interchange at the junction of Xixiang Street and Hangcheng Street in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, and ends in the west at the Cuiheng East Interchange in Nanlang, Zhongshan. Designed for a driving speed of 100 km/h, it adopts the dual eight-lane expressway standard. Upon opening, the daily traffic volume is expected to reach 100,000 vehicles.
DIANMING has provided intelligent information products such as ETC lane information displays, gantry type variable message signs, and F-type variable message signs for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link. These products are installed at critical sections, including the Shenzhen Baoan Airport Toll Station, Jinwan Toll Station, Shenzhen Connecting Line Airport Interchange, Hezhou Interchange, and the entrances and exits of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Tunnel. These systems effectively inform vehicles of road traffic conditions and weather conditions on the cross-sea bridge, significantly improving traffic flow, ensuring safe and swift travel for drivers.
The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link reduces the travel time between the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary, from Shenzhen to Zhongshan, from 2 hours to within 30 minutes. This enhancement strengthens the core driving role of the Pearl River Delta, deepens the integration and development of the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary, supports the integrated development of the Guangzhou and Shenzhen metropolitan areas and the Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen region, and collaborates with Hong Kong and Macau to build a world-class bay area and urban agglomeration. This accelerates the high-quality integration development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and becomes a new engine for productivity in the region.
In his congratulatory letter, the chairman underscored efforts to manage and make good use of the passage, and promote infrastructure connectivity and alignment of rules and mechanisms to facilitate the building of an integrated market in the Greater Bay Area.
